Department of Biochemistry was established in 1978 to provide better academic and intellectual training to Biochemistry education in Pakistan.
The B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. Biochemistry is a four years intensive program both in morning and evening. The focus of this program is to train the students for the future requirement in the field of Biochemistry. The program is used for the grooming of individuals to become especially responsible citizens having breadth of perspective, practical skills and technical competence. This program requires four years of full time study. It is designed for individuals who can donate time and energy to an intensive and demanding learning experience. Currently there are ten teachers in this department including Ph.D and M.Phil degree holders with many research papers of International and National levels.
