Department of Zoology was established in 1954. After four years, department affiliated with University of Karachi for graduate (B. Sc) teaching. In 1979, Department of Zoology was fully established as postgraduate teaching started M. Sc. degree in Zoology. After getting the status of Chartered Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology, the department in now being engaged in B. Sc. (Hons) and M. Sc. degree and research activity thereof.
B.Sc. (Hons) is a three years programme and M.Sc. degree is two years programme but B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. combined is a four years intensive programme. These courses are used to mobilize our students and build up the character of our future generation.

Research Labs:
The dynamic research supervisors of the department under whom 16 teachers and students are enrolled in PhD programmers all are willing and planning establish well equipped laboratory.
